Sen. Dianne Feinstein has introduced a massive "assault weapons" ban on Capitol Hill that is, in fact a sweeping unconstitutional infringement upon our Second Amendment rights. Feinstein S. 150 BANS virtually all semiautomatic firearms by specifying those using 'a magazine' and those equipped with a 'pistol grip' – including handguns, short guns and rifles. This includes essentially every contemporary semi-auto on the market!

In 1988, the anti-gun Violence Policy Center published a booklet describing how the "new topic" of "assault weapons" will "strengthen the handgun restriction lobby for the following reasons:"

… The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.

And now, more than 20 years later, this strategy that preys on Americans' gun rights ignorance is WORKING nationwide for anti-gunners everywhere and at every level of government!
